This is the Genuine Fender® Preamp found in the Clapton® Jeff Beck® and Buddy Guy® Stratocasters®

How do we do it?

We are a Fender Parts Dealer and get the Preamp Kits directly from the distributor.

This functions just as it would and as you've heard it's legendary glory built into the guitars. Instead, the stomp box has a true-bypass foot switch and a master volume control.

Jeff Becks tech helped us design this and made several changes to our wiring before putting it into Jeff and Alex Lifeson hands.

Since it is a pedal and has a Master Volume, you can crank the Boost to the max and manage the output of the pedal at a regulated volume. Crank the volume control and the pedal starts to overdrive the front end of your amp with the same tone and TBX Settings. It will also act as a master volume if you put a wah or distortion in front of it.

TBX CONTROL The TBX Control provides both the conventional Fender sound and unique new sounds. Rotating the knob Counterclockwise from the detent gradually fillers off high frequencies, just as a standard Fender tone control.You also now have the option of adding presence and brightness. This is done by rotating the knob Clockwise from the detent.  This coupled with the added boost enables a single coil instrument to replicate the tone of almost any pickup combination

BOOST CONTROL By turning the knob clockwise. You will gradually increase the midrange and bass frequencies as you modify the treble frequencies. Use this in combination with the TBX and you can recover the highs and add yet additional boost.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT The electronic circuit is powered by a standard 9 Volt transistor battery. To replace the battery. Simply remove the back plate with a Philips screwdriver.

Note: The battery is being drained only when there is a cord plugged into the input jack. To get the longest use out of any battery. make sure that you always unplug the guitar (IN) when it is not being played. A Standard 9V battery last Over 200 hours of use. There is no support for an AC adapter. The device was originally intended to be self-contained in a guitar

At maximum setting, the volume will increase approximately 25 dB.

WARRANTY A One Year warranty includes parts and return shipping back to you. You are to ship it to us. If we open the unit and find evidence of modifications, misuse, abuse (accidental or not) or neglect, than we will not cover the repairs for free,  You will have the option of swapping out a at a discounted rate.
