The new, completely redesigned MOTU 828 interface gives you everything you need to turn your computer into a powerful audio workstation.
Extensive connectivity options
The MOTU 828 connects to your computer (Mac/PC) via super-fast (5 Gb/s) USB 3 or high-speed USB 2, whilst offering up to 60 audio channels (28 inputs and 32 outputs).
MOTU’s tried-and-tested, reputable drivers are compatible with all professional DAWs. They provide you with the best possible audio processing capabilities, with ultra-low latency of as little as 2 ms at 96 kHz.
Proprietary firmware allows for seamless connection to an iPad or other iOS device – via USB-C or a standard camera connection kit (Lightning adapter, sold separately).
A real game-changer for studio and live work
Whether used as an audio interface or a standalone mixer, the 828 offers 28 separate inputs and 32 separate outputs. These include 2 XLR/TRS ‘combo’ mic/line/guitar inputs, dedicated XLR main outputs and two independent headphone outputs on the front panel.
The superb analogue sound quality is, of course, no coincidence; it is down to the use of the industry-acclaimed ESS Sabre32 DAC technology.
Connect all your studio equipment
Easily connect your microphones, guitars, synthesisers, keyboards, drum machines and effects processors to the 828.
Record, monitor and process signals in real time, whilst avoiding unwanted issues such as latency and excessive strain on your computer’s processor. A powerful DSP processor delivers separate 24-channel mixes for all analogue output pairs, including two headphone outputs.
Full control in all conditions
Take control of your recording sessions using the ‘Talk’ button on the front panel. Connect two sets of speakers and monitor your mixes in real time using the monitor selection button (A/B). Then stream your sessions online without a hitch, thanks to the loopback channels and your choice of any of the 828’s available inputs.
After your recording session and mixing in the studio, disconnect the interface from your computer and take it with you to perform on stage, where the MOTU 828 functions as a standalone mixer with effects. Control every aspect of your sound via the CueMix 5 app running on your laptop, tablet or smartphone – yes, it’s that simple!
From the studio to the stage, the MOTU 828 delivers exceptional sound quality, modern operational features and reliable performance. Get yours today!
