DescriptionThe ART Dual MP (Model 254) is a two-channel tube microphone preamplifier that packages two independent tube-driven signal paths into a single rack-mountable unit. Dual-Channel Architecture: Features two independent channels, functioning essentially as two ART Dual MP units combined into a single enclosure. Tube Circuitry: Utilizes hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tubes operated at lower ("starved-plate") voltages to impart audible even-harmonic distortion, warmth, and coloration to incoming signals. Gain & Controls: Offers variable input and output controls per channel, a +20 dB gain boost switch, +48V phantom power, and an audio phase reversal switch. Metering & Status: Includes visual indicator lights or LED displays to monitor signal status across "clean," "warm," and "clipping" stages.
