Keilwerth Toneking Tenor Saxophone
Keilwerth Toneking “Angel Wings” Silver-Plated Tenor Saxophone c. 1957 – Serial No. 28040
Keilwerth Toneking “Angel Wings” tenor saxophone in exceptionally well-preserved condition, very close to its original state.
The silver plating is remarkably well preserved, showing very little evidence of use considering the age of the instrument. Please examine the photographs carefully for a detailed view of its condition.
The saxophone comes with its original case, mouthpiece, ligature and mouthpiece cap. The complete set is very well preserved, including the original case, which remains in very good condition considering its age.
Recently serviced. Plays perfectly, with the full, rich sound characteristic of vintage Toneking tenors.
Please note: the plexiglass “Angel Wings” key guards show a few very fine hairline cracks around some of the mounting screws, barely visible to the naked eye. Please see the close-up photo of the Lucite key guards for their condition. The small music lyre holder screw is also missing. Neither issue affects the operation of the instrument.
To help preserve the Lucite guards, I would recommend fitting thin nylon washers under the screw heads to reduce stress on the material.
Open to reasonable offers.
The photographs form an integral part of the description.
