Yamaha SLG100S Silent Guitar, first-generation steel-string model in Natural finish, Made in Indonesia.

Introduced by Yamaha as the steel-string version of the original Silent Guitar, the SLG100S combines an extremely lightweight, compact and detachable frame design with a full-size steel-string playing feel. It is particularly well suited to silent practice, travelling, recording and amplified live use.

The guitar features a mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, maple body/frame and L.R. Baggs pickup system. Its built-in electronics include Volume, Bass and Treble controls, two Reverb settings, headphone output, Line Out and Aux In with independent level control. It can be powered by a 9V battery or compatible Yamaha AC adapter.  

The guitar has recently been professionally cleaned, inspected and set up by a luthier. The electronics have also been checked and are fully functional. It is ready to play.

Overall condition is Very Good, especially considering its age. There are normal light signs of use and some age-related wear on the hardware and other surfaces, all clearly documented in the photographs. No attempt has been made to conceal cosmetic wear.

This guitar comes from my father’s private collection. He is a lifelong guitarist and enthusiast who collected instruments over many years, and I am gradually selling part of his collection, which includes classical, acoustic, archtop and electric guitars from a variety of makers and periods.
