Description:
The Wampler Dracarys is a modern, high-gain distortion pedal engineered to transform a clean amplifier into a tight, articulate metal powerhouse. Inspired by the crushing guitar tones of metal icon Ola Englund, the pedal focuses on maximum clarity and depth without descending into muddy frequencies.
Key Technical Specifications:
- Gain Voicings: 2-way toggle switch ("Open" for aggressive, low-compression dynamics; "Tight" for natural tube-like compression with a built-in high-pass filter ideal for drop-tuned guitars).
- EQ Section: Active 3-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) for precise frequency sculpting.
- Bypass: Relay true-bypass switching with a silent, soft-touch footswitch.
- Power Requirements: 9V to 18V DC power supply or standard 9V battery (draws 29mA at 9V).
- Build: Handbuilt in the USA with robust metal housing and top-mounted jacks for easy pedalboard integration.
