Fender Jazz Bass 1978-80.
If you are into early Marcus Miller and in general '70s black funk, this is your bass. It has that beafy, growling sound you hear on a lot of black music between 1978-1982. 5% discount for subscribers on my YouTube channel.
The bass is in used condition, unfortunately it was poorly refinished by some previous owner. It also has some mechanical/technical issuers, like a very loose fit of the neck in the neck pocket (there is a 3-4 millimeter gap), so the neck has to be held manually in place with the strings centrally positioned related to the fretboard, and then fixed using the screws. Screwheads are quite worn. Soldering seems rather untouched, but the extra insulation in the cavities and below the pickguard is probably non-original.
This instrument can be seen and heard on my Belgabass videos below. The sound was recorded straight in, no amp, pre-amp, effects, pre- or postprocessing.
Search youtube for "belgabass Don’t Get Funny With My Money" or "belgabass Haboglabotribbin", or check out the video link in the ad, which was recorded when I had just purchased the bass in 2019.
