Unlike 99 percent or the vintage amps listed, this one actually works 100 percent and has zero issues because it was just professionally serviced by an Engineer that actually knows what he is doing and not an enthusiast with a soldering iron lol.
This is a Marshall 50 watt JMP amplifier. Model is 1987 and the production year is 1972. it has been recapped and retubed about 2 years ago. At one point in its life apparently the bridge rectifier blew out which was somewhat common and took out the power transformer as it usually does. The repair was done very professionally with the similar vintage spec Magnetic Components/ Classic Tone transformer. Diodes were upgraded to superior spec. Some people like myself believe these vintage spec transformers sound better. All pots were just cleaned in the major service and one replaced. There is not any noise in the pots at all and this amp is very quiet. The best thing is the addition of a master volume control which actually Allows you to attenuate the signal to play in the home. Amp is very warm, articulate and clean. I had quite a few of these JMP from 1970-1975 and this one is hands down the best sounding with gorgeous tone. Zero issues and ready to go!
