Up for sale is a stunning, first-edition 2005 Taylor T5-C1 in a beautiful Cherry Sunburst finish. This is an incredible acoustic-electric hybrid that offers great versatility, ranging from pure acoustic tones to full-on electric crunch.  It’s always been an absolute joy to play.

• Playability: Fast and fluid neck. Plays every bit as well as my 10-Top PRS Custom 22.
• Condition: Overall great shape for its age. The frets are in fine condition with plenty of life left.
• Case: Includes the original fabled Taylor faux-alligator hard case, which still looks fantastic.

• Cosmetic Finish Check: There is a  cosmetic crack in the polyurethane lacquer at the neck heel (see photos). This is a common finish shrinkage issue on these early mid-2000s T5s and is strictly cosmetic—the underlying wood joint is 100% structurally sound.
• Controls: The 5-way switching offers endless options. Personally, I found two killer settings and stuck to them to keep things simple.
