Clean 1955 Gretsch 6128 Duo Jet – Black in great condition. Really nice one, early model – the first „Script Jets“ were introduced in 1954. Still the Melita bridge with bakelite baseplate and the bock inlays. The Black top is not painted, its the material Gretsch used for their drum kits! It has some smaller changes: It once had Grovers but the holes have been professionally filled by our luthier and some nice open repro tuners have been installed. The heel cap is brittle and fell off – comes with the guitar. The pots have been changed in 1987. The pickguard shrunk (like almost all of them) and comes with the guitar. Everything else is original, super nice guitar with great tone and wonderful neck profile! Comes incl. original silver Gretsch case.
