Here is a well-preserved Gibson The Paul in absolutely original condition, from the first owner, from 1979...
all in all VERY VINTAGE – VERY RARE, from the FIRST OWNER!
2 x original, open (exposed) original Gibson T-Top humbuckers!
The guitar has no major dings and dongs, normal signs of wear, no grooves or notches in the original "always flat" (frettless wonder) frets or even in the fretboard!
This 1979 Gibson "The Paul" is a no-frills electric guitar from the Norlin era, distinguished by its solid walnut body and factory-exposed T-Top humbuckers. Designed as a more affordable alternative to the classic Les Paul, it forgoes binding and features a thin, matte nitro-satin finish.
Body: Solid American walnut. Flat top with ergonomic arm and belly contours (Comfort Contours).
Neck: 3-piece, set neck.
Neck profile: Medium "C" profile.
Fretboard: Genuine ebony (rarely rosewood on later transitional models).
Inlays: Mother-of-pearl dots
. Frets: 22 frets.
Pickups: 2 exposed original Gibson T-Top humbuckers.
Controls: Four 300 kOhm potentiometers (two volume, two tone) and a three-way selector switch.
Bridge: Nashville Tune-O-Matic with stopbar tailpiece.
Tuners: High-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners.
Scale length: 24.75 inches (628.6 mm). Nut width: 1.6875 inches (42.9 mm). Headstock: Plain walnut veneer without overlay, screen-printed Gibson logo,
truss rod cover with the inscription "The Paul".
The original strap pins have been replaced with strap locks!
Weight: 4.140 kg
The guitar comes in a Gibson Chainsaw Case gen 3, also in very good condition!
We gave the guitar a new setup with Ernie Ball strings in gauge 10-46, oiling the fretboard and optimally adjusting the string action and intonation!
