Rare Epiphone, limited edition 63’ Firebird VII model, in “Ember Red” color and “Made in Korea” in 2004. I am the first owner, it has never left the house and has been used very little. It even still has the protective plastic on the back cover for access to the electronics. The frets are new and aesthetically, the guitar is in excellent condition! (no dents or worn areas, cracks, repairs or extra holes.)

The Firebird VII is not just another guitar; it's a piece of rock and roll history, meticulously recreated in every detail to capture the vintage experience of the 1963 model. From the unmistakable inverted body shape to the Ember Red finish, it's a guitar that impresses even before you play a note. Its neck-through-body construction (launched in 1963, the Firebird was Gibson's first guitar with this construction) is the heart of the Firebird's legendary sustain, guaranteeing greater stability and a resonance that can be felt throughout the instrument. A faithful recreation of the legendary Firebird designed by Ray Dietrich, one of the biggest names in automotive design. Renowned musicians such as Johnny Winter, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, PJ Harvey and Phil Manzanera have helped solidify its reputation over the decades.

The Firebird comes equipped with 3x Mini-Humbuckers with Alnico 5 magnets. These pickups offer the perfect Firebird tone, an ideal balance between the punch of a single-coil and the warmth of a humbucker. The result is a sound with incredible clarity, articulation and a full-bodied punch when you play harder. The inclusion of the classic Maestro Vibrola tailpiece in this model allows for an expressive and brilliant vibrato.

As a curiosity regarding this model:

-Unlike other innovative projects, none of Gibson's futuristic guitars had ever left the drawing board. But that didn't stop Gibson's president, Ted McCarty, from trying again. Wishing to recapture some of the charm of Detroit's car manufacturers in their heyday, he hired automotive designer Raymond Dietrich, who had founded a coachbuilding company and worked with Packard, Franklin, Erskine (Studebaker), and Lincoln. He even became head of design at Chrysler. Because he was a close friend of Edsel Ford (former president of Ford), it's easy to believe that Dietrich was influenced by a Ford car – the Thunderbird.
