Seymour Duncan Custom Distortion Model TB6 Matte Black Bobbins

Description from Seymour Duncan website:

"The Duncan Distortion bridge is our original high-output humbucker. It incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones that have rich upper midrange harmonic content. Great for hard-hitting, crunchy rhythms, and searing lead tone. Riffs are tight and percussive and lead work is fast and immediate with ultra-clear pick dynamics.

Originally known as the SH-7 Seymourizer, the Duncan Distortion neck pickup is specifically designed for use with the matching high-output bridge version. It is hot enough to deliver smooth, fluid solo tones under high gain, while still producing bell-like clean tones.

Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA, factory, the Duncan Distortion uses a large ceramic bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance."

This is a pre-owned item and should be expected to have normal wear and scuff marks associated with normal playing conditions. This item has been tested and is in working condition. The item in the photo is what you will be receiving. That being said, this came new in a new guitar that I bought directly from the retailer. It was used in as much for initial inspection of the guitar and then it was removed to be replaced with something else.

This contains the entire harness, removed from the pickguard before an entirely new harness and new pickups were installed. The harness is as follows:

  • EVH Low Friction 500k Volume pot
  • "No-load" Tone Pot
  • 5-way Superswitch, wired for the following:
  • Position 1. Bridge,
  • Position 2. Bridge Outer Coil and Neck Inner Coil,
  • Position 3. Bridge and Neck,
  • Position 4. Bridge Inner Coil and Neck Outer Coil,
  • Position 5. Neck

Pricing is for just the pickups. Including the harness as a courtesy. If you don't need it now, maybe you will later.

It is not uncommon for Seymour Duncan bobbins to have hairline cracks between the poles and/or screws. The company has been acknowledging this for over 15 years as " "spider legs." They're gas lines that are part of the injection molding process and they're not structural." If you do not see any in the photos, I can check the specific item to confirm and/or send more photos of the item.
