The Bowers & Wilkins M-1 is a compact 2-way passive satellite speaker built around a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter and a 100mm woven glass fibre cone bass/midrange driver, crossing over at 4kHz. The tweeter is loaded with B&W's Nautilus™ tube technology to reduce unwanted rear radiation, while an Anti-Resonance Plug in the woofer damps internal resonance - both hallmarks of B&W's larger flagship designs applied in miniature form. Frequency response extends from 64Hz to 23kHz (±3dB), sensitivity is 85dB (2.83V/1m), and nominal impedance is 8Ω, making it compatible with amplifiers rated between 20W and 100W. At under 5 lbs and roughly 248mm tall, the M-1 works equally well as a stereo pair, a surround channel, or part of a multi-channel home cinema system.
