This beautiful Collings D2HT, in excellent condition, has just arrived and is available now!

The guitar is in perfect technical condition, with frets that look brand-new, a perfect neck angle, and a very comfortable string action. It has also been restrung and professionally set up by our luthiery staff.

The original Collings case is also in very good condition and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Visually, this impressive dreadnought is also in great condition: there are hardly any signs of wear, and the small scratches on one of the sides and on the back of the guitar can be professionally polished in our workshop if needed. The Indian rosewood used for the back and sides has a beautiful grain, and—combined with the spruce top—makes this wonderfully broken-in guitar a dreadnought of the very highest caliber. Powerful and well-balanced at the same time.

The list price of a Collings D2HT is now well above the 8,000-euro mark, so this is a great opportunity at a very attractive price!

More about the D2HT model, in the words of Collings Guitars:

Our guitars in the “Traditional” series (or “T” series) offer a fascinating, vintage-inspired variation on the unmistakable Collings sound; they are designed and crafted to highlight the most sought-after characteristics of the highly prized pre-World War II instruments. The bracing and tonewoods are precisely balanced in terms of weight and thickness to produce a tonal character characterized by warm, rounded highs and prominent lower mids, without sacrificing quick response and powerful projection.

Our Style 2 model (D2H T) features an East Indian rosewood back and sides, body bindings and a back wedge made of Ivoroid, a narrow, brown herringbone edge inlay on the Top, a “zipper” strip on the back, diamond- and square-shaped fingerboard inlays, and an elaborately designed Style 2 rosette.

The guitar manufacturer Collings was founded in 1973 by Bill Collings in Austin Texas. What began with individual instruments, which were only built to order, quickly developed into a well-known name in the music scene. Western guitars from Collings are characterized by their dynamics, an extremely open sound and great workmanship.
