Fjord Fuzz Berserk v2

Great pedal. It's a well made fuzz face, to start. The big knob controls the fuzz amount, the first small knob the pedal volume, and the third knob is a bass cut BEFORE the fuzz circuit, which means that if you slam it with hot pickups, it won't turn to mud like a lot of other fuzz faces do. The two switches are also super useful. The first turns on a pickup simulator, so that you can use this with buffers if you want (e.g.: in front of a more modern pedal, as a lot of vintage fuzzes dont do well with that). The second one emulates the preamp of a roland space echo, a legendary preamp circuit that turns this pedal into a different sort of monster. with the preamp switch on, all of a sudden, it sounds like an amp on the verge of exploding. pretty cool effect. so even if you don't use the pedal's volume to push your amp, and instead use a pedal platform kinda situation with a clean amp, you can get it to sound like the amp is on the verge of exploding WITHOUT clipping your meters. pretty cool. works and sounds as it should.
