Up for sale is this beautiful 60th Anniversary Fender Highway One Stratocaster with hardshell case. The 2006 Fender Corona, California built Highway One Stratocaster is a major upgrade from the previous (2002 – 2005) model. It features super-sized jumbo frets, ’70s styling, new hot AlNiCo-3 pickups (middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum cancelling), and the introduction of the Greasebucket™ tone circuit, which allows you to roll off highs without adding unwanted bass. Best of all, the switch from an acrylic finish to a more authentic thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer takes this amazing guitar to the next level. The new pickups create a rounder sound that is great with high gain. The thin satin 3 Color Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish still lets the natural tone of the body wood shine through. The finish is designed to wear over time and is delicate when bumped. This one is in great shape with only one bump on the lower side, shown in the last pic, that isn't usually noticeable. She plays like an absolute dream. The Fender/Ping Standard Cast/Sealed Tuning Machines have been replaced with Fender Locking Tuners and a brand new set of Elixir Nanoweb coated 09/42 strings have just been installed. She will ship safely with tracking in a nice universal hardshell case with Reverb Safe Shipping.
