In 1997, Fender Custom Shop luthiers met Donal Gallagher, brother of the famous Irish blues-rock guitarist Rory Gallagher, and received one of the most sought-after instruments on the market - Rory's well-worn 1961 Stratocaster. Fender originally made a limited edition of forty replicas for the European market, but demand was much higher. For this reason, this extremely valuable instrument returns in a Custom Shop edition as the Rory Gallagher Signature Stratocaster Relic Rosewood Fingerboard 3-Color Sunburst.This is a faithful replica of the prized 1961 Stratocaster. The guitar's alder body is decorated with a 3-Color Sunburst color finish and a Relic finish with authentic-looking artificial patina elements in the form of small scuffs, scratches and scars gives the guitar the look of an instrument that has already been played and flaunted in clubs and bars for some years. A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-one Medium Jumbo frets is attached to the maple neck with an Early-'60s "C" profile.The guitar's sound is provided by three custom-wound Custom '60s single-coil Strat pickups. You can adjust the sound character using standard controls. The guitar also offers authentic tuning machine customization (five Sperzel tuners and one Gotoh), a white plastic position dot at the 12th fret that deviates from the clay dots, a synthetic bone nut, and aged chrome hardware.The guitar comes in a case along with a guitar strap and a certificate of authenticity.3,55 kg.
