Fender Custom Shop, 1959 Stratocaster in super faded shell pink, Journey man relic This has been my main guitar since I bought it brand new from the late and great GAK at the beginning of 2021. Over that time it’s been well looked after with regular services. The only changes i have made are great upgrades in my opinion! I replaced the stock fat 50’s pickups with a set of Mark foleys Lone Star series number one‘s. Brought new from peach guitars. Considered to be some of the best pre CBS tones on the market. I have replaced the pick guard and plastics with vintage correct and professionally aged sets from realistic relics. The relic work and parts from realistic relics are considered to be the best in the game and as vintage accurate as you can get! Much better than the overly green guard the custom shop had on it. The original guard and plastics will supplied if you wish to change them back.The electronics are the best of the best and everything you would expect, CTS 250K Pots, etc. There’s also the addition of a king tone SRV switch in the rear tone pot. This switch works great to take off some top end and really beef up your strat tones. Something magical happens with the mid range with tube screamers! The guitar itself is lively/ resonant with one of the best feeling strat necks I’ve played! Not to chunky not to skinny. 6105 frets on a very dark 9.5 radius neck. A nice journey man relic to top things off. The hard where is on the moderate side of relics but is in identical shape as the day it came. Set up in E-flat with d'addario Guage 11 strings. It has a set of realistic relics pre CBS saddles on, the original custom shop ones are included in the case. They where however very he vault ages by the custom shop and could be tricky to adjust. The RR saddles are much better and I think give a better tone. All installation and set up work has been carried out by a reputable and well known long standing luthier. All paper work/ packaging has been kept for the pick ups, Switch and plastics for proof of authenticity. No corners cut on parts here!
