About this listing
You are looking at a 2025 Fender Custom Shop 1954 Stratocaster – 70th Anniversary Journeyman Relic, a guitar that captures everything people love about the very first Strats — only with Custom Shop precision and the quiet confidence of a guitar that knows it showed up wearing black… and immediately became the coolest thing in the room.Finished in Black, this Strat proves that sometimes the most dangerous color is the one that doesn’t try too hard. It’s sleek, classic, and just a little intimidating — like a vintage hot-rod that idles quietly until someone dares to step on the gas. The Journeyman Relic treatment is perfectly restrained: light checking, subtle wear, and just enough broken-in vibe to make it feel like it’s already played a few legendary gigs… even if it’s never left the case. The two-piece off-center ash body delivers that unmistakable early-’50s snap and resonance, while the AAA birdseye maple neck adds clarity, punch, and just enough visual swagger to remind you this is not your average Strat. Add in the Hand-Wound Fat ’50s pickups, and you get everything a great Strat should be — glassy highs, woody mids, and that unmistakable Strat “quack” when you lean into it. She’s 100% original and ready to become the guitar that makes your other guitars nervous.Specs:Model: Fender Custom Shop 1954 Stratocaster – 70th AnniversaryFinish: Black, Journeyman RelicBody: 2-Piece Off-Center Ash, sorted for light-weightNeck: One-Piece AAA Birdseye Maple, medium tintNeck Profile: 70th Anniversary ’54 Strat; .885” (1st fret), .980” (12th fret)Fretboard Radius: 9.5”Frets: Narrow Tall (6105)Nut: Bone, 1.625” nut-widthFret Markers: Micarta black dotsPickups: Hand-Wound Fat ’50s Strat (Neck / Middle / Bridge)Controls: Master Volume, 2 Tone, 3-way SwitchBridge: Vintage-Style Strat TremoloTuners: Vintage-Style FenderHardware: Chrome/NickelPickguard: 1-Ply WhiteNeck-Plate: Special 70th AnniversaryCase: Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary Tweed CaseWeight: 7.3 LBS.Serial #: 48xxShe was born on April 15th, 2025, and is in unplayed mint condition, showing only the intentional factory Journeyman Relic wear — exactly as Fender Custom Shop intended, with no additional wear or surprises. Also included is the original Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary tweed hard case, full case candy, Shop Floor Traveler, cable, strap, accessories, and the Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity, confirming this Strat is the real deal.If you’ve ever wanted a Strat that looks like it belongs on a 1950s stage, a 1970s record, and a modern Custom Shop wall all at the same time — this Black ’54 70th Anniversary Strat is ready to quietly steal the spotlight the moment you plug it in. 🎸Whoever brings this baby home is gonna be STOKED!!LET'S GO!!WHILE YOU ARE HERE, GO AHEAD AND LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS!!Me- I have a 100% positive feedback rating, and intend to keep it that way!
