Overview
The Fender Big Apple Hardtail Strat comes from the popular (if short-lived) Hot Rodded American Series of guitars. Employing an alder body (except for the orange transparent finish, which uses an ash body), the Big Apple Stratocaster featured two Seymour Duncan humbuckers -- a '59 model at the Neck and a Pearly Gates in the bridge position. These ran alongside the standard tremolo bridge version.
