I am offering here a Lakewood J-32 Baritone from 2012, a handcrafted in Gießen, Hesse, all-solid timber steel-string baritone acoustic guitar from the German premium guitar forge Lakewood with voluminous baritone jumbo body shape, finely grained “AAA” European spruce top, back and sides made of dark “AAA” Indian rosewood, set one-piece Cedro neck with “C” neck profile and 48mm bone nut, fine ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge with bone saddle and ebony bridge pins including mother-of-pearl eyes, high-quality Lakewood Pro Tune I gold tuners, and L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system, all finished in a hand-polished high-gloss natural finish with various ornaments made of abalone, mother-of-pearl, and precious woods, in mint condition, including Lakewood Hiscox luxury hardshell case and professional setup with 16-70 Elixir 80/20 strings.

The J-32 was part of the lineup for decades at Lakewood, the renowned German manufacturer of premium acoustic guitars in Gießen, and was one of the most popular German jumbo acoustic guitar models of all time. This baritone variation of the J-32 combines select solid tonewoods of the highest quality with premium hardware and exceptionally outstanding craftsmanship, creating one of the most beautiful 6-string baritone acoustic guitar models on the market.

The proven combination of dark “AAA”-grade Indian rosewood for the back and sides, along with “AAA”-grade European spruce for the top, produces a wonderfully orchestral, broad tone that is rich in harmonic texture and lends this baritone guitar—tuned a fourth lower—a wonderfully warm, deep timbre. A specially forward-positioned baritone bracing system inside the guitar also ensures fantastic volume with long-lasting sustain. It’s a dream baritone acoustic guitar that responds superbly not only to classic strumming but especially to picking and fingerstyle playing!

The guitar truly shines live and in the studio with its factory-installed L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system, which delivers an authentic, clear tone thanks to the combination of piezo and microphone pickups.

The extra-wide 48mm bone nut, combined with the long 680mm scale length and the medium-width “C”-shaped neck profile, offers extremely comfortable playability even for those with less delicate hands.

Visually, the light European spruce top harmonizes perfectly with the dark contrasting elements of East Indian rosewood and ebony. Elaborate decorative details—such as the rosewood rosette embellished with abalone frames, the gold-plated Lakewood Schaller Pro Tune I tuners, the hand-polished high-gloss finish, and the tasteful real wood bindings—lend the instrument an exceptionally elegant and timeless appearance.

This guitar is in mint condition and technically flawless. Visually, it shows practically no wear (see photos). The frets are flawless.
