This late-1970s Yamaha YCL-35 (grenadilla wood intermediate Bb clarinet, equivalent to today’s YCL-450) has been completely restored to professional playing condition by Art Gale of "Horns Reborn" in Toronto.

Restoration includes:

- All-new professional-level pads

- Fully replated keys

- Complete overhaul for airtight seals, precise regulation, and smooth, responsive action

Serial number 028827 confirms it is from the desirable late-1970s production period, when Yamaha was using high-quality grenadilla and building these instruments to a standard that many players still prefer over later models. It offers a warm, focused tone with excellent projection and the solid keywork Yamaha is known for.
