Beautiful tone soloist or orchestra; symphony, chamber, needs some new pegs and strings. No broken seams comes with case, Ebony fingerboard and tailpiece boxwood pegs. Spruce top of two slabs deep wine color, rich tenor sound fills a hall. No cracks or open seams.
Back is a one piece slab of fine maple; sides neck and scroll also of similar timbers. A fine professional instrument Shipping is expensive due to weight of case and care taken to ship.
Not a bad condition for 100+ year old professional instrument.
Color changes in outdoor and indoor light as it is oil based and breaths. Stamped bridge Ernst Heinrich Roth Marknukerkin. Must have worked on it some while ago. Other than that no other documentation. It was bought by the current owner about 70 years ago in Italy and has been collecting dust ever since.
