This 1975 Gibson Byrdland has an ebony bridge saddle replacing the original tune-o-matic and no longer has its original pickguard due to off-gassing, but is otherwise in original condition with original ebony bridge base, tailpiece, truss rod cover, tuners, and all orginal electronics, including the original patent decal T-top humbuckers. The frets and finish are also original.  The all original finish has some checking, but shows little other wear.  The humbucker covers show some tarnish due to the off-gassing of the now gone original pickguard.

The guitar was just set up with LaBella electric 12-52 strings and it sounds awesome. T-tops from this era are one of my personal favorite picks for archtop guitars.  The playability is wonderful with low, fast action and plenty of room at the bridge to adjust up or down to suit anyone's preferred string height.

The neck has the traditional short scale of the Byrdland and slightly slimmer neck, making wide stretches easier than on traditional longer scale guitars, perfect if you like to do closed, piano-like chord voicings. The C-shaped carve feels great in the hand.

A never installed multi-ply pickguard and mounting bracket are included with the guitar, as well as a copy of the original 1975 purchase receipt.
