The Iceland Spar is a two channel looper each with 30 seconds record time with infinite number of overdubs and independent mix control. In addition, there is a always on lush reverb. Simply set control to 0% to deactivate. The refractor setting gradually degrades the loops quality from no degradation at 0% to fast degradation at 100%. The middle switch resets the loops quality. The reverb can be part of the loop or not using the left toggle.
Loop 1 can be set forward or reverse at 1, 0.5, 1.5, 1+P5, 2.5 speeds. The unaltered loop is always in memory so all settings are available for a given loop. Set at 1 for a standard loop.
Loop 2 has two modes. In seq mode the recorded loop will cycle between 50%, 100%, and 200% playback modes. The mode knob controls the speed of sequence cycling. The playback will be reversed when activating the normal/plus toggle.
In chop mode, the knob selects the number of sections the loop is divided into ('R' is randomly selected number, and 'E' is Euclidian logic to select the number of divisions). The sections will be played back either at 50%, 100%, 200%, or 400% speed chosen randomly if the normal/plus toggle is activated.
Set in mode chop and at 1 section for a standard loop.
The looper can be used table top since there is no need to hold the switches to record a loop, simply press to start and stop the loop recording or overdub. Hold 2 seconds to erase a loop.
This a simple to use looper that can generate complex and intricate loops.
