We are selling this beautiful and vintage Michelsonne Paris toy piano with 25 keys, made in France around the 1950s. The instrument is fully functional and perfectly in tune, with a truly wonderful, bell-like tone.

The wooden body shows some light signs of age and use, as expected from an instrument of this era, but nothing major or structural. Overall, it is in very good condition for its age. Works perfectly. Very good condition for its age (circa 1950). A true collector’s piece.

Michelsonne Paris was a legendary French toy piano manufacturer active from 1939 to 1970, founded by Victor Michel (1904–1983). Their instruments were marketed as “bell-tone pianos” and are now highly sought after and increasingly rare. In 1970, a fire destroyed the factory at 7 rue Duvergier in Paris (75019), after which the patents were sold to Bontempi Italy. Today Michelsonne pianos are widely regarded as some of the finest toy pianos ever made, valued by musicians and collectors for their unique and inimitable sound!

In France, many toy-piano players still prefer Michelsonne instruments because of their distinctive tone and musical character. These are widely considered among the best toy pianos in the world.
