The Taye Drum Company was the brainchild of drum industry maverick and pioneer Ray Ayotte. Ray Ayotte founded his Drums Only drum shop in Vancouver B.C. in 1972. This shop served as the launch pad for his Ayotte drum line. Ayotte Drums were the first high end production "boutique" drum company that introduced the drum world to a long list of drum innovations.
This Taye RockPro 5.5x14" Copper/Wood Snare Drum was manufactured in Taiwan during the early 2000s. Features a hybrid copper-over-wood shell, eight proprietary Taye lugs, triple-flanged steel hoops, and Taye's smooth-operating snare strainer.
The drum is in excellent, barley used used condition. Everything looks and works great!
