Up for sale is the extremely rare vintage 5U rack module by the legendary UK manufacturer of professional studio products - Audio & Design Recording. This rack is fully loaded with their iconic Scamp modules (Standardised Computer Audio Modular Package): consists (from left to right) X1 Scamp S100 Dual Gate, X4 Scamp S31 compressors, X4 Scamp S01 compressors, X4 Scamp S03 Sweep EQ’s and X2 Scamp S04 Parametric EQ’s. 15 legendary units in one original factory box with original power supply. In excellent overall condition and 100% fully working order. Some of the modules had been professionally recapped (please see all pics cause they are a part of description). We will also include the back plate pinouts so you can easily wire the outputs regarding your studio needs. Now a quick refer to the modules: S100 dual gate is famous for it’s ultra fast optimised attack time: around ten microseconds which stops any click or pop sounds when the gate opens. S31 compressor modules known for their punchy, aggressive sound that is famous for making instruments stand out in the mix. Built on FET transistors and dbx VCA chips. S01 modules relies on all discrete circuitry and a FET based design as well: it’s inner circuitry is basically a 99% match to the legendary ADR Compex F760X-RS limiter, just compressed into a single-slot rack format without a gate section. This gives S01 a very fast, musical and explosive vintage sound. S03 is a vintage analog 3-band sweep EQ module, it’s circuitry directly derived from the legendary ADR E900 and Compex Vocal Stressor. It packs a very musical, classic British console EQ sound into a compact single slot module as well. S04 unlike S03 is double-wide module that occupies two slots in the Scamp rack. it features all discrete analog circuitry which is identical to the highly praised parametric EQ section of ADR Compex Vocal Stressor. It provides three independent, overlapping parametric sections to cover the full audio spectrum. Total weight of the rack and power supply is around 15 kg.
