Technics RS-B18 DBX Noise Reduction Single Direction Stereo Cassette Deck Dolby B/C Completely Serviced

Mid 1980's Technics single direction cassette deck - this model features consumer DBX noise reduction, which when paired with a metal tape sounds absolutely fabulous. It also has Dolby B/C noise reduction, and with it's flourescent meters and classic dark grey Technics finish stands out in any rack system.

Completely serviced and adjusted- transport fully overhauled with new belts, mechanical linkages cleaned and lubricated, any idlers cleaned and restored with R2 rubber restore compound, capstan motor bushings lubricated and recording bias/gain calibrated via oscilloscope for precise channel tracking across normal, chrome, and metal tape types. Heads cleaned, pinch rollers treated with R2 rubber renewal compound and transport demagnetized.

Cosmetic condition shows some scratches and scuffs on the lid, front panel in remarkably good gently used condition with a few minor marks on the clear overlay plastics.
