Up for sale is a vintage Tenesy Thumb Standard 5-string banjo, a well-built import instrument that offers classic banjo tone, comfortable playability, and attractive appointments throughout.
Featuring a traditional resonator design, pearl-style block inlays, multi-ply binding, and chrome hardware, this banjo has the look and feel of the higher-grade imported instruments that became popular among folk, bluegrass, and country players during the latter half of the twentieth century. The neck profile is comfortable in the hand, and the instrument produces the bright, articulate response players expect from a good resonator banjo.
We recently cleaned and inspected the instrument here at the shop. It plays nicely with comfortable action up the neck and has a lively, responsive sound that works equally well for practice, recording, or stage use.
Condition is excellent overall for its age. There are some minor signs of normal use including light cosmetic wear, but nothing significant or out of the ordinary for a vintage instrument. The banjo presents very well and has clearly been cared for over the years.
A hard case is included with the sale.
