Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Yamaha TP-123 23" timpani, made in Japan.

This is an original Yamaha orchestral instrument featuring its original Yamaha hardware and original Yamaha USA timpani head. The instrument retains its attractive metallic copper fiberglass kettle and presents exceptionally well for its age.

The timpani has been carefully cleaned and detailed while preserving its originality. The fiberglass kettle has an excellent gloss, the chrome hardware is bright and clean, and the original head remains in very good playable condition.

Included with the instrument are four timpani mallets of varying hardness, offering a range of tonal possibilities.

Condition

The instrument is in excellent vintage condition.

The fiberglass kettle is remarkably well preserved and retains a beautiful gloss and depth of colour.

The chrome hardware has been cleaned and presents very nicely.

The original Yamaha head remains in very good condition with normal signs of use expected from a vintage orchestral instrument.

All tuning hardware functions smoothly.
