Burny RLG '59 LP standard VH-1 1988~1994 " The Revival series "
【About This item and Sound】
The sound that inspired generations.
Part of Fernandes' acclaimed The Revival series, the RLG-59 was created with a single goal: to recreate the sound, feel, and character of a true vintage Les Paul. Warm, articulate, and endlessly musical.
This Fernandes RLG-59 captures the spirit of a great 1959 Les Paul.
It features a one-piece mahogany neck with a traditional 17-degree headstock angle, along with a maple top and mahogany back. At its heart are the highly regarded Fernandes VH-1 pickups, developed to faithfully reproduce the magic of original PAF humbuckers.
For improved tuning stability and modern playability, the guitar has been upgraded with Gotoh SD90-MG Magnum Lock tuners. Best of all, the classic vintage appearance remains unchanged.
Finished in a timeless Black finish, complemented by cream plastics and amber controls, this RLG-59 has all the visual appeal of a well-loved vintage instrument. Based on the body routing and construction details, it was built in Japan around 1988 to 1994.
The VH-1 pickups are among the finest vintage-style humbuckers ever produced by Fernandes. Designed through careful study of original PAF pickups, they deliver warmth, clarity, beautiful harmonic content, and exceptional note definition.
Even unplugged, the guitar resonates with an acoustic character that speaks to the quality of its construction.
Plugged into a good amplifier, it effortlessly covers everything from 1950s rock and roll and 1960s rhythm and blues to British rock, hard rock, and beyond.
Whether played with power or subtle touch, this guitar responds with confidence, nuance, and musicality.
A remarkable Japanese vintage guitar built for players who still believe in the magic of a great Les Paul.

【 About "FERNANDES・Burny" , "The Revival Series" 】
In 1972, FERNANDES began selling electric guitars in earnest. Fernandes did not have its own factory, but had a Japanese OEM factory manufacture its own planned products. Acoustic guitars were Hayashi Gakki. Electric guitars were handled by Fujigen, Matsumoku, Kawai and Terada Gakki, all leading Japanese factories. Therefore, there was no compromise, and the quality was first-rate.
Depending on the type, it had two brand names: "FERNANDES" for the Fender model series and "Burny" for the Gibson model series.
Burny began producing foreign-made copies of its models in the 1970s. The lineup included maniacal specifications and colors, which were different from those of other Japanese manufacturers. These guitars were immediately popular among the young people of Japan at the time. However, Fernandes aimed for a higher level and launched "The Revival Series" in 1981. The idea was to thoroughly research and reproduce vintage guitars. The initial letter "R" of "Revival" was added to the beginning of the part number, as in "RST/RLC". The golden era was from 1984 to 1990, and the construction and attention to detail were superb. Although overshadowed by Greco and Tokai, the Burny is undoubtedly one of the best Japan vintage guitars.
And still, the appearance of this guitar is too cool to really fall in love with it.
This guitar is in " The Revival series ", hard to believe that it is over 30 years old!
