The BJFE Flametop is an overdrive pedal that was developed as a prototype for a pedal later known as the SHOD.

It's tight and easy to handle, and it really shines when paired with a variety of guitars and amplifiers.

While the gain as an overdrive isn't particularly high, the combination of sonic responsiveness, a rich tonal texture, and a powerful, responsive sound allows for versatility—from distortion-like tones to blues, rock lead, backing, funk cutting, and jazz guitar—with just a flick of your finger. It truly delivers a "clean sound that's actually distorted."
