Everybody loves a Traynor.
In the 1970s Canada was pumping out some of the best amplifiers and Reverb units around and Traynor was one of the most respected brands among serious musicians. These are heavy duty, seriously old school rock machines.
Here is a mid-seventies YVM-3 PA Powered Reverb unit. Let us tell you, Traynor Reverbs are fantastic; we like them better than Fenders. They are thicker and weightier sounding against Fenders surfy springy sound. It's a solid state amp with four channels and spring reverb. Forget about all that and use it as a powered pre-amp reverb unit for your guitar. You can thank me later.
The amp is in good working condition and each input and control was tested for over an
hour with a guitar. The signal was sent to a 120 watt 12" Kustom floor monitor speaker,
with both speaker outputs tested.
The amp is surprisingly loud and drove the speaker well for an amp that is probably 25
watts into 8 ohms. The controls have built up
some typical age oxidation and are slightly scratchy. I would recommend spraying some electronic contact cleaner.
The Traynor Model YVM-3 4 Channel Solid State Amplifier is a 25 watt solid state
amplifier and features four inputs, master volume and built in EQ and reverb.
The Traynor amp was designed to be a PA
head however it can be used as an amp or for running multiple instruments into
one source. There are two 8 ohm powered speaker outputs.
