This model, produced at the Cateca factory in Mexico, features a solid spruce top and rosewood laminate sides and back. The body size is the Grand Auditorium, which is Taylorfs standard size; the arched back design allows this laminate body to produce a unique depth and a sound that exceeds its size. Equipped with the ES-1 pickup system, this model is ideal for both live performances and recording.

The battery compartment is the older, smaller type.
