Why wide guitar necks? The neck is similar to a Standard thin. Medium thin. A bit more meat than a standard thin neck.

This wide nut design is comfortable for you, if you’re big. If you need “extra room” between the strings -you got it!. We have your guitar that is great to play, with all the standard features, superior tone, lasting sustain built just for “Big Guitar Players”.

• Typical E-to-E Spread: 43mm is the approximate measurement for nut widths between 50mm and 52mm.
• Edge Margin: Luthier standards usually place the outer E strings 3.5mm to 4mm in from the edge of the nut.
• Calculation: 51mm (Nut) - (4mm margin x 2) = 43mm.
• Inter-string Spacing: With a 43mm total spread, the center-to-center distance between each individual string is roughly 8.5mm to 8.6mm.

A combination of a neck mini-humbucker, middle single coil, and a Telecaster bridge pickup produces a versatile sound with a warmer, fuller tone from the mini-humbucker in the neck, a bright and articulate sound from the middle single coil, and a punchy, snappy attack from the Telecaster bridge pickup, allowing for a wide range of tones depending on which pickup(s) are selected and how they are blended together.

Warm and smooth neck tone:

The mini-humbucker in the neck position provides a fuller, warmer sound with less pronounced highs compared to a standard single coil, ideal for smooth chords and lead lines with a bit more body and bass.

Bright and articulate middle tone:

The single coil in the middle position offers a clear, articulate sound with a brighter character, perfect for clean rhythm playing and adding definition to your tone. It's a perfect reactive pickup when played simultaneously with another pickup. A combination sounding quacky and a good choice for slide playing.

Punchy and cutting bridge tone:

The Telecaster bridge pickup delivers a snappy attack with a bright edge, ideal for cutting through the mix with strong rhythm playing and lead lines with bite.

How the pickup combination works together:

• Positional versatility:
• Depending on which pickup or combination of pickups you select, you can quickly switch between a warmer neck tone, a bright middle tone, or a cutting bridge tone. 
• Blending options:
• When using the middle position with all pickups selected, you can blend the characteristics of each pickup, creating a unique, balanced sound.

Variable Treble Bleed Circuit included:
This mod keeps the tone you have on "10" throughout the entire range of the volume control. We add a resistor capacitor network to the input and output of the volume control to keep the highs from leaving your tone as the volume is decreased.  
By adding this circuit, we can help you avoid the "muddy tone" syndrome.  
Now your tone is much more controllable and articulate!

When the Treble Bleed Circuit is included:

Turning the volume control applies varying amounts of a specially tuned high frequency filter to the selected pickups. Now each pickup has the ability to produce a stronger, fuller tone and 50% less noise. This variable treble bleed circuit is pre-installed. This variable treble bleed/bypass circuit corrects the problem of high frequency losses, provides auto-adjustment of tone at reduced volumes and improves audio taper between 3 and 10.

USA-Custom Shop 7-Sound Switch Translation:

NORMAL Position 1 of the 5-way selector switch activates the bridge pickup alone by engaging the toggle switch at this point it will activate the neck pickup giving you the bridge and neck pickups together.

Likewise, with the 5-way selector switch in the second position with the bridge and middle pickups activated, a flick of the toggle switch adds the neck pickup to the equation which gives you ALL of the pickups together. The two choices now missing on your stock 3 pickup guitar. The toggle adds the neck pickup when YOU want it.

With the Treble Bleed Circuit Mod added on this guitar, what does it do?

It prevents the treble frequencies from bleeding off. It allows the treble frequencies to be re-introduced into the output for clarity and improved timbre.

At Haywire we simply install a TB Circuit capacitor. We build them in our custom guitars for a better Low and High sound spectrum:

1-error-correction of signals with enhanced clarity

2-preserve high end frequencies

3-improved taper when rolling back your volume control

Hand-soldered here in our shop: between the input and output lugs of your guitar volume control pot, to smooth out treble bleed.

Get more uniform tone from 1 to 10, and a more rounded sound at low volume.

THE NECK
Maple/Ebony 2" wide (51 mm) Neck Custom Shop USA Hand Built beauty.
It has been fitted, the frets leveled, the neck aligned on all 4 axis, the frets were then
crowned and polished for a smooth broken in feel.
The neck has a comfortable familiar feel with low action and a standard 1-7/8" nut width added to a "C" neck profile and the Guitar Neck Fingerboard Radius is 12"

The fingerboard, or playing surface of the guitar neck, is usually curved or radiused across its width. The purpose of this radius is to accommodate the natural ergonomic shape of your fingers when they are in playing position. Comfort is certainly a major factor in selecting a fingerboard radius, but it is not the only factor. Musical Style... the fingerboard radius must also allow you to play the style of music you prefer. On this guitar the STRINGS are also radiused to the neck curve.

 All controls and pots, switches are new with **NEW Hardware**. The SRV pickups are built for tone and longevity. They are slightly hotter than stock but wound more for better sustain and they are very quiet. For our European Players-These Pick Ups are RoHS Compliant. Included with even pole pieces for reliable tone.
