Dual 1229 (Full Rebuild/Upgraded)

The legendary Dual 1229, also known as the “King” of idler-drive turntables, has been remanufactured with upgraded parts and fresh components and fully tuned to better-than-new condition by our experienced technician. It produces magnificent sound, and all automatic movements are precise and smooth, in accordance with the original Dual specifications. It is looking for a good home today.

Every unit is fully disassembled, with all parts cleaned, inspected, and replaced as necessary. Every turntable we have sold is still functioning and serving its new owners. All you need to add is your favourite record!

Here are a few items to list,

- Mechanical arms and motor have been fully disassembled, cleaned, and restored to Dual mechanical specifications and lubrication requirements for long-term reliability.

- The tonearm rubber sleeve ring has been replaced to prevent failure of the tonearm dearing ring and lift mechanism.

- The cartridge has been professionally aligned for proper stylus alignment, azimuth, cantilever position, and Vertical Tonearm Alignment (VTA).

- The tonearm has been adjusted for correct Vertical Tracking Force (VTF).

- The cartridge has been upgraded with a brand new Audio-Technica AT-91R cartridge and stylus for excellent sound quality and ease of future service.

- Spark and strobe capacitors have been replaced to eliminate unwanted popping noises during start and stop operations.

- The strobe paper has been replaced to prevent separation caused by dried adhesive.

- The original RCA cables have been replaced with brand new, high-performance RCA cables and a dedicated ground cable to improve signal strength and eliminate unwanted hum.

- The audio signal path and ground connections have been upgraded to improve signal-to-noise ratio and reduce unwanted noise.

- The tonearm wiring has been upgraded with new shielded, silver-plated audio cable to improve clarity and overall signal performance.

The unit works and sounds better than new with a great sound stage. It has three speed settings and three record-size selections that can be individually selected by the user. It also provides options for multiplay stacking spindle and 45 rpm adapter.

The price you see is the price you pay. We cover all applicable local taxes and tariffs, so you do not have to worry about any additional fees when your new turntable arrives. All you need is your favourite records to sit back, relax, and enjoy your music.

Shipping preparation may require up to five business days. Dual turntables are primarily constructed from metal components and are considerably heavy units. To ensure safe transportation and arrival, we design a custom-fit shipping box for each individual turntable.
