Kingston Hound Dog Taylor MIJ

-Made in Japan

-1960's

-This guitar falls under a number of category brands such as Kingston, Kawaii, & Teisco among others, and shares many traits attributed to them and others. Through my own personal research I have determined it to be the maker/model listed.

-spring-loaded whammy bar mechanics

-non-original plastic tuner bushings

-adjustable pickups (x3), switches are functional

-not included: whammy bar

CONDITION NOTES:
-This is a very old guitar and has the wear and tear expected. The string action is high and as such it serves very well as a slide guitar in its current state, though it could be adjusted for lower action by any qualified guitar repair technician.

-Some of the tuners are bent slightly but are functional.

-original whammy bar is missing but can be easily replaced

-high string action height, (about 6 32" from top of 12th fret to bottom of string)

This is a really interesting and cool guitar from a very particular era of Japanese guitar building. It functions like a science fiction robot and is a fantastic addition to any vintage Guitar collection.
