Irsyad Arif Custom Violin 2023

This violin is custom made by Mr. Irsyad Arif for his son, Mr. Rifki Adriansyah Arif. Mr. Irsyad Arif is one of the few luthiers in Indonesia. He wanted to create something unique for his son to further his son's passion in violin. The back panel wood of this violin is from Indonesian forest in Sumatran Island, in Lampung province. Mr. Irsyad would like to embody the sound of Indonesian forest into this instrument. Mr. Rifki Adriansyah Arif is talented violinist in Indonesia. His skill is honed from very young age. He appeared in national television in Indonesia through Indonesia's Got Talent show ten years ago. His performance as young violinist during that show can be seen through this link.

In this video, his father (the luthier of this violin) appeared alongside him during the show.

I got in touch with Mr. Irsyad a couple of years back when I asked him personally to craft a violin for my daughter. He is also in the middle of crafting a violin for my son. He has lent me his son's violin for my son to use while he is crafting one for my son.

Recently, due to medical procedure that he needs to undergo, he asked me to sell this violin on his behalf to cover his expenses.
