Stromberg Voisinet Banjo Uke Banjo ette Kay 1920's ish? - brown

This banjo uke measures 22 1/4" from top to bottom, with a 14" scale, and a diamond head stock inlay.

It has an 8" pot with 16 tension hooks and a decorative multi-colored wooden band around the banjo body and on the resonator. Considering its age It's in really good condition, tuners all in fine condition, neck is straight, all in all a great sounding instrument.

There is some oxidation on some of the metal parts, such as the screw heads of the tuning pegs and some spots on the tension hooks but nothing major. It is listed as very good, let me clarify, it's very good for its age which is likely over one hundred years old.

There is no brand or marking on the instrument but in looking for info on it, I found that it's evidently a Stromberg-Voisinet which may have been a subsidiary of the Kay company.

There is a patch of wear on the neck where the player's left hand would have been and it's a little worn, I have no way of knowing if the finish is original, it's so old, but it appears to be. It's a well-made instrument, that's for sure.

I pack these instruments myself and I do a great job of it. That said, should something happen during shipping, you will be fully covered by insurance, that's part of what you pay for shipping.
