Here is a unique Luxman MQ-80 for sale. This amp uses the unique 6336a high power dual triode tubes in a unity coupled circuit ( a la Mcintosh). I did some modest servicing on this amp with replacing all the known to go bad original gray film caps on the amplifier board with Panasonic MPP types. The cathode bypass caps are now audio grade Nichicon UKZ. The resistors and ceramic caps in the feedback paths have been replaced with high quality metal film and c0g parts respectively. The other resistors were checked for drift and the rest of the electrolytic caps tested OK. The adjustment pots and input attenuators were cleaned. One of the power tubes was replaced with an NOS Raytheon and the bias was set and balanced. The rest of the tubes are Japanese Matsushita and NEC.
The knobs on the input attenuators are new. The phenolic mounting plates for the speaker terminals are cracked. The original speaker terminals are not great so it's not a bad idea to replace them anyways. I have found someone selling high quality drop in replacements that I could install for a small fee if you would like. Cosmetically the amp has some minor dings, chips, scratches, and stains in the finish but looks pretty good overall. This amp requires a japanese type 2 prong IEC cable and I can help you source one if you need.
I know how to pack vintage audio electronics properly so you can rest assured your amp will arrive safely.
