Rare and great sounding analog synth from Yamaha.

Unique, dual-channel architecture means that each channel can be independently triggered and/or processed, thanks to separate CV ins/outs and dual audio output jacks (see back panel pics).

Both channels have different sets of highly useable presets, while the second channel (in addition to its own array of presets) has a manual mode that is completely programmable. (Although there’s no bandpass filter option on the programmable panel, some of the presets use a bandpass filter under the hood.)

With its palette of easily accessible sounds, along with its performance functions (presets can be tailored via channel mix and detune, portamento, brilliance and “sustain” controls, plus the usual pitch and mod wheels), the CS-15D is a great, vintage live performance instrument.

For a detailed rundown of the sounds and functionality of the CS-15D, see Marc Doty’s (Automatic Gainsay) comprehensive review on YouTube.

Just fully serviced by Synths When in Toronto and functioning perfectly. Some minor blemishes—including a light scratch on some of the keys (barely visible in the pics)—but this CS-15D is in excellent cosmetic condition.

The synth is located in Ottawa and is available for local pickup. For a fee, delivery along the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal corridor is also possible. Shipping would be expensive, but certainly possible. Please contact me to make arrangements or to confirm shipping costs to your (within Canada only) location.
