The Yorkville YSM5 is the most compact studio monitor in the YSM series, making it ideal for small listening rooms and desktop studios. Offering unparalleled clarity, accurate reproduction, and surprisingly punchy bass response for a monitor in its class, the YSM5 utilizes a solid 1-inch MDF cabinet and baffle to minimize cabinet noise and self-inference. The front port design eliminates the problem of bass coupling with rear walls and corners in small environments, which can introduce unwanted low-frequency information into your mix.

Compatible with virtually any source, the Yorkville YSM5 features highly variable input compensation control, making it compatible with a wide range of sources, including direct connection to a sound card or a professional console control room output. A four-position high-frequency adjustment control allows the user to fine-tune the EQ to compensate for speaker placement in less-than-ideal listening spaces.

The contoured MDF baffles, custom-designed soft-dome tweeters, and high-quality low-frequency woofers used in Yorkville's YSM Series monitors combine to minimize front-facing reflections, improving phase response and providing a wider sweet spot in the listening position. The front-facing port design eliminates the problem of bass coupling with rear walls and corners in small spaces, which can introduce unwanted low-frequency information into your mix.
