The Double Cat 12 is a high-end 12-string electric guitar that blends the resonance of a semi-hollow instrument with the bite of a solid-body. Originally designed by Dieter Gölsdorf, the Double Cat series features a distinctive double-cutaway alder body with large internal sound chambers and a "Cat Eye" F-hole. Every instrument was Plek-processed, meaning a computer-controlled machine levels the frets with 0.01mm accuracy to ensure buzz-free playability. The middle pickup position features special wiring that filters out specific low-end frequencies from the humbucker, creating a unique "twangy" and open sound. Duesenberg guitars are famously used by artists like Ron Wood, John Mayer, and Joe Walsh, favoured for their reliability and unique looks.
