Rickenbacker Model 450/12 1965 - Mapleglo

This is a vintage Rickenbacker 450/12 12-string electric guitar, finished in a beautiful natural maple that highlights the grain of the solid body and neck-through construction.

Known for its unmistakable bright, chiming tone, the 450/12 delivers the classic 12-string sound heard across countless recordings from the 1960s and beyond. With its dual “toaster” single-coil pickups and iconic Rickenbacker design, this instrument is both a collector’s piece and a highly playable vintage guitar.

This guitar features natural, visible wear and small dents, consistent with its age—adding to its authenticity and story. It currently has 6 strings installed, offering a unique playing feel, but can easily be restrung back to its full 12-string configuration depending on the buyer’s preference.

The guitar received a professional tune-up in 2025 at Long & McQuade, ensuring it remains in solid playing condition.

The natural finish, combined with the aged hardware, gives this guitar a warm, vintage tone with authentic wear that stands out both visually and sonically.

Note:
There are a couple of small cracks on the white acrylic pickguard. These are cosmetic and do not affect sound or playability.
