A rare vintage snare drum, the George Way Drums Studio Model Snare 5.5 x 14, has arrived!
George Way was founded in 1954 in Illinois, USA, by George Harrison Way, who had experience working for drum manufacturers such as Slingerland. The brand was highly popular for its craftsmanship and sound, but it closed shortly after being acquired in 1961. It later revived in the 2000s!
This model is from the 1950s-1960s and features a 4-ply construction, resulting in a woody, distinctive sound!
The snare side is fitted with a Resonant Slunk Calf Snare Head with an original wood hoop.
*Please note that the original snare side is very fragile due to its material and is therefore not covered under warranty for any damage, including damage during shipping.
