A rare beast, originally P90s, converted into Neil Young‘s spec: P90 at the neck + Firebird at the bridge. Pickups are from the Australian maker D’Urbano/Mr Fabulous‘ Old Black pickup set. They sound better than the original Gibson ones.
Added a Bigsby B7 gold, aged from Electric Mojo Guitars. First used Vibramate, then professionally drilled in by 12thFret Guitar Shop. They also did a fret dress and a nut slot adjustment for this beauty, as well as pickups swapped.
The bridge was upgraded to a gold Faber ABR-1 style, knobs swapped to 4 rare black Gretch knobs.
Chambered mahogany body with maple cap, mahogany neck with ebony fretboard. Neck is 60s style tapered. Very easy to play.
Condition is great. Only played at home. A few tiny dings. Actions are low for comfort. The truss rod still has room for adjustment. This guitar sings.
All spare parts (original pickups, bridge, tailpiece, vibramate) will be included in the original case, with original papers.
It has a comfortably balanced weight. I don't have a scale to measure, but I have checked other sources, learning that the original weighs around 8 lbs, plus Bigsby and Gretsch knobs, it should be around 9 lbs.
Preferred pick up near Toronto area.
