Neumann U47 Vintage
For sale is a rare vintage Neumann U47 Large Diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone. This mic has been used on many high profile artist recordings. It's for sale on behalf of owner Bill Bottrell who has owned this mic since 1993 and used this microphone to record artists like Christina Aguilera, Linda Perry, Tom Petty and more (some specific recordings are listed below). Bill had this mic inspected and serviced as needed by Charlie Bolois in Los Angeles in 2024 who commented "All original capacitors and resistors have been replaced with modern parts, nicely done. Quiet VF14 tube, mic sounds great". We also had our local Neumann U47 microphone expert inspect the U47 with minor servicing as needed including cleaning the capsule. It's tested and fully functional. Beautiful sounding U47 with original BV8 transformer and vintage VF14 tube inside.
