For sale is a vintage Ampex 440-4 reel-to-reel tape machine in clean condition that previous owner had almost finished converting into a 440-8. All units have been tested, includes all audio cards, two extra power supplies. To finish conversion it needs 1” guides and headstack or a 1” transport. Current heads are mono. Considering this project piece is not complete, it will be sold as-is for parts/repairs, no warranties, guarantees, returns.
